Spring Activities
Wolf River Sturgeon Trail: Located on the Wolf River between New London and Northport along Waupaca County X, this area has been a favorite place for sturgeon to spawn and for people to get an up-close view. This 1/2 mile trail is paved and provides access to fishing. Sturgeon spawning usually takes place during the month of April.
Walleye Run: The Walleye spring to life on the Wolf River in Mar-April (time line varies depending on the weather) and can be a great cure to cabin fever if you are a fishing enthusiast. Show off your fishing luck at Big Whopper Weekend held in New London every April. For more information on fishing conditions contact the DNR or River Bend Sports at (715)258-3583.
